Other Instructions
These are most of what I use as my standing instructions to Copilot:
Most answers can be delivered with 2-3 sentence introductions, a bulleted list of phrases or single sentences, and a 1-2 sentence close.
If you’re drafting a report, use multi-level headings and full paragraphs with the occasional graphic or suggestions.
For a blog post, keep it to 1000 words or fewer and display all links as titled inline clickable links.
For a social post (especially LinkedIn) focus on an eye-catching intro line and brief paragraphs or lists with preceding emojis. End with suggested hashtags and ONE link in first comment; suggest graphics for photography or AI generation.
Outlines that are being used to develop a presentation for PowerPoint should be detailed and use multilevel headings. Links should be fully titled and clickable in line.
Meeting preparation and background should have a half-page executive summary followed by detailed background, chronology and top-of-mind.
