Company OS

Synozur works in concert with your leadership team to develop new business strategies and management frameworks to optimize and elevate your effectiveness. We help our customers implement new company operating systems and detailed adoption strategies tailored to their specific organizational and cultural needs.

A Framework to Drive Business Clarity and Focus

Our approach involves defining and refining your company’s foundations - mission, purpose, values, and goals. Strategy and planning are separate components. We facilitate leadership decisions that form your strategy and assist with the annual planning required to implement them.

The Company Operating System

How best to move forward? A Company Operating System (CoS) can help.

A Company Operating System is a framework that creates and maintains clarity and focus on your company's priorities. It includes foundational building blocks, strategy, plans, goals, and measures across the organization. Just like computers, the CoS is the "operating system" for your business, accelerating business performance and results.

The Synozur Approach

Our CoS approach includes four components:

  • Business Foundation: This includes the core values, purpose, vision, mission, and targets of the company. It sets the groundwork for all other components and ensures that everyone in the organization is aligned with the company's fundamental principles.

  • Strategy: Strategy involves making integrated choices that position the company to win in its chosen market. It differentiates between strategic and operational aspects, focusing on transformative and forward-looking objectives.

  • Annual Plan: The annual plan consists of setting yearly objectives, targets, and quarterly rocks (incremental goals). Workshops are often used to create these components, ensuring that the company stays on track to achieve its long-term goals.

  • Focus Rhythm: This component includes a scorecard, annual planning, quarterly planning, and weekly focus meetings. It ensures that the company maintains a regular rhythm of reviewing and adjusting its priorities and performance.

Our Methodologies

Interviews

Conduct detailed interviews with key stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and expectations. This helps in gathering valuable insights and setting the foundation for a tailored operating system.

Current State Assessment

Evaluate the current state of the organization using a management maturity model. This assessment identifies areas for improvement and acceleration, providing a clear picture of the organization's strengths and weaknesses.

Workshops

Organize workshops to collaboratively develop the operating system. These engaging, delightful sessions involve various departments and ensure that the system is designed with input from all relevant parties, fostering a sense of ownership and alignment.

Human-Centric Approach

Focus on a human-centric approach by considering the needs and experiences of the employees. This ensures that the operating system is user-friendly and supports the well-being and productivity of the workforce.

Design

Develop a clear vision and plan for current and incoming leaders to track business performance against well-defined measures. This can also include helping you choose the appropriate software and tools to support your Company OS – it could be Viva Goals, a 3rd party solution, a spreadsheet, or even a printed notebook based on your needs and culture.

Operate and Optimize

Provide ongoing mentoring and support to the leadership team and their direct reports. This includes continuous improvement efforts to ensure the effective operation of the company operating system.

Outcome-Based Results

Define clear, outcome-based results to measure the success of the operating system. This involves setting specific, measurable goals that align with the company's strategic objectives.
